Le Chamaedorea Metallica est un petit palmier originaire des forêts tropicales humides d'Amérique centrale. Il se caractérise par de magnifiques reflets métalliques argentés et par ses feuilles qui se terminent en V.

Protégé du soleil direct par la canopée de la jungle le Chamaedorea Metallica apprécie une exposition mi-ombre et un fort taux d’hygrométrie. Il faut donc maintenir un terreau frais en été et des brumisations tout au long de l’année pour le protéger de la sécheresse atmosphérique.

En hiver, laisse sécher le terreau entre deux arrosages.

Le rempotage se fait au printemps mais il te faudra attendre que le système racinaire ait totalement envahi le pot avant de le déranger. Tu peux utiliser un mélange terreau universel, tourbe et perlite pour le substrat.

In winter, let the potting soil dry between two waterings.

Repotting is done in spring but you will have to wait until the root system has completely invaded the pot before disturbing it. You can use a mixture of universal potting soil, peat and perlite for the substrate.
